The niko HEAVY model is based on the original 1970s design, featuring heavy-duty aluminum profiles and fully compliant with current EU safety standards. Built for maximum robustness, it was developed for intensive professional use and extreme conditions.
The niko STANDARD, introduced in the 1990s, represents a lighter evolution of the same concept. Despite its reduced weight, it has proven over time to be equally durable and has become the industry benchmark thanks to its excellent balance between strength, handling, and serviceability.
The niko HEAVY LONG features a reinforced square aluminum profile, derived from the HEAVY structure, with a longer span between the legs. This solution provides enhanced stability while delivering a more elegant and proportioned aesthetic, ideal for premium installations.
In real-world conditions, the structural integrity of all these models is outstanding. Frame bending is virtually non-existent, even after years of intensive use.

Powder-coated aluminum frames undergo a professional chemical conversion process that ensures excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance. This finish is ideal for poolside and hospitality environments. However, for direct beach use, particular care is required: if the coating is scratched and raw aluminum is exposed, oxidation may develop beneath the paint over time.
For coastal and marine settings, anodized aluminum frames are recommended. Anodizing is not a surface coating but a controlled oxidation process that becomes an integral part of the aluminum itself. The fabric used on our sunbeds is a technological marvel. Woven from continuous polyester threads coated with PVC, the material is treated with UV-resistant additives to ensure long-lasting protection against the sun.
The fabric is heat-sealed to prevent fraying and maintain a taut surface, avoiding the typical "hammock effect" seen in inferior models.
What truly sets this fabric apart is its comfort and functionality. It remains comfortable without the need for a cushion and is perforated to allow water and dust to pass through, preventing accumulation.
